For the record, I am that person who is ready for Christmahanakwanzika as soon as Thanksgiving rolls out at the end of November. You know, the people who hunt down the perfect tree the day after? I take a nosedive right into the holiday season and I think I’ve always been this way. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become much more involved with the culinary and decorative efforts around the holiday season. I guess it’s some weird attempt to celebrate and preserve something that will happen again next year. But I go about it that way every year. For the last few, I’ve become obsessed with getting that  “holiday issue” of all my favorite publications, such as Bon Appetit. And this year… this year it’s all about Dorie Greenspan and her cookies. I have made her Buerre & Sel Jammers. To me, they are little rounds of jam heaven. And if you’re going to try this, you have to really believe in good jam.  Merry Happy Jolly Baking, all!
