Moving towards summer

Slowly but surely we are updating the apartment.

I finally perfected the baked eggplant. All fresh everything is the key.

Music lately, because Eric played the album 40 times on the weekend. Listen.

“Real sex was too meaty, too medical, as if sex plunged you into all those pulsing, sweaty systems, the nerves and valves and secretions, whereas imaginary sex remained speculative, spiritual, sepulchral.”
—Edmund White, Jack Holmes & His Friend

Posted are a few articles I have found particularly useful when considering my salt and sugar intake. If you learn something, find it useful and take it into consideration, COOL.

Since adopting Parker in February, things have been very chaotic. I’ve become this weirdly obsessive dog mom which, isn’t where I thought things would end up but I am beyond happy with him.
ALSO occupying all of my time:
COOKING, COOKING, COOKING.

I made a very good chicken piccata Sunday night. You have to love capers but it really added a nice twist to italian sunday at the apartment.
BAKING. I’m not much of a sweets person but I love banana bread so I found a great recipe. The only “changes” I made were to use sea salt and organic cane sugar.

….and I have been listening to a lot of Perfume Genius.
That’s it.
